The Supreme Court on Tuesday strongly reprimanded yoga guru Baba Ramdev's company Patanjali Ayurved. The court has taken the company to task over Patanjali's misleading advertisements regarding allopathic medicines.
A bench of Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah and Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra warned Patanjali that if similar misleading advertisements regarding their products continue to be telecasted, they could face a fine of Rs 1 crore.
The court advised Patanjali Ayurved to avoid publishing such misleading advertisements in future. The court said that Patanjali should ensure that it keeps distance from making such statements in the press.
