Uttarakhand Tunnel Accident: It has been 8 days since 41 people were trapped inside the tunnel in Uttarkashi. The rescue operation is continuing. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said after inspection of the tunnel on Sunday that now work is going on on 6 options and this entire operation may take another two to two and a half days.
In Uttarkashi, on November 12, the day of Diwali, about 30 meters of the under-construction tunnel collapsed 270 meters inside the mouth from the Silkyara side and since then 41 workers are trapped inside it. To rescue them, rescue and relief operations are being carried out on a war footing. Drilling remained suspended on Sunday to prepare an 'escape passage' for the workers. Another large diameter pipeline is being laid in the debris to supply essential goods to the stranded people.
