World Cup 2023: After a brilliant performance by the bowlers led by Mitchell Starc, Australia won the sixth ODI World Cup with the ninth consecutive win by defeating India by six wickets in the ICC Cricket World Cup final on Sunday, with a century by Travis Head and also won crores of rupees.  Broke the hearts of Indians and the host team's dream of becoming world champions.  India, which reached the final riding on the winning streak of 10 consecutive wins, was expected to win its third World Cup in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
The most successful batsmen of the tournament, Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin had dreamed of being a part of the Indian team that won the ODI World Cup for the second time, while captain Rohit Sharma dreamed of becoming the ODI World Champion for the first time, but Pat Cummins' team achieved this feat.  Dreams were not allowed to come true.  Despite the defeat in the World Cup final, it has rained money on Team India.  India, the runner-up team of the World Cup 2023, has received a reward of 2 million US dollars (approximately Rs 16 crore).
Apart from the glittering trophy, the champion Australia got prize money of about Rs 33 crores.  The teams of New Zealand and South Africa that lost in the semi-finals received prize money of approximately Rs 6.65 crore each.
