Tunnel Collapse: Rescue of workers trapped in tunnel continues in Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand Tunnel Collapse: A major accident took place in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand on Sunday, the day of Diwali.  Where about 40 workers are trapped inside a tunnel after it caved in.  Rescue is going on to rescue them.  State Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is taking every moment information about this incident.  He has also prayed for the safety of the people trapped inside.

 Pushkar Singh Dhami said that ever since I came to know about the incident, I have been in touch with the authorities.  NDRF and SDRF are on the spot.  We pray to God for the safe return of everyone.  Regarding this accident, Uttarkashi SP Arpan Yaduvanshi said that in Silkyara Tunnel, about 200 meters before the starting point, a part of the tunnel has broken.  According to HIDCL officials looking after the construction work of the tunnel, about 36 people are trapped and efforts are being made to rescue them safely.
