After Navratri, onion prices have started skyrocketing across the country, on Friday, October 27, onion was sold at ₹ 90 per kg in Delhi market and very soon the price of onion will cross a century. This is because onion is becoming costlier by 10 to 20 kg every day. Shopkeepers fear that onion prices may soon reach Rs 100 per kg in Delhi.
In RK Puram area of Delhi, the price of one kg onion reached Rs 90 kg on Friday. The people of Delhi are troubled by this inflation. Shopkeepers say that due to expensive purchases in the market, they have to sell at higher prices. Due to sudden inflation in onion, there has been a significant decline in sales. Talking about tomato, it has also become Rs 50 per kg.
