There will be no 'All India Muslim Mahapanchayat' in Delhi's Ramlila Maidan. Delhi High Court has rejected the petition demanding Muslim Mahapanchayat at Ramlila Maidan. Muslim Mahapanchayat was to be organized on October 29 at Ramlila Maidan. More than 10 thousand people were expected to participate in it.
The High Court rejected the petition saying that looking at the posters of the Muslim Mahapanchayat, it appeared that the event could be communal and could increase tension in Old Delhi. However, the High Court also said that after the end of the festive season, the petitioners can file the petition again by giving the list of speakers and assuring that there will be no communal tension.
This petition was filed by an organization named 'Mission Save Constitution'. It is claimed that this organization works to create awareness about constitutional rights among the public.
The petition said that after a meeting with Delhi Police officials, permission was given to organize Muslim Mahapanchayat at Ramlila Maidan on October 29. But later the DCP of Central Delhi canceled the permission, calling the program 'arbitrarily communal'.
Delhi High Court had said that the festival of Navratri is from 15th October to 24th October and then Diwali is on 12th November. Meanwhile, there are also festivals like Karva Chauth and Dhanteras.
The court said that even though this mahapanchayat is being organized with the aim of educating people about their rights, the posters shown by Delhi Police indicate that it could be communal, due to which communal tension will increase. Could. This is a sensitive area because people following different religions live here.
