This time the Election Commission of India has decided to make actor Rajkumar Rao its national icon. The Commission will appoint Rajkumar Rao as icon on Thursday (26 October). National icons make people aware about voting. Their effort is to increase the voting percentage.
Although actor Rajkumar Rao has worked in many films and many of his films have been hits, but 'Newton' is a film which gave him a different identity. Rajkumar Rao received the National Award for Best Actor for this film released in 2017. In this film, Rajkumar Rao was seen in the role of a government clerk named Nutan Kumar. Nutan Kumar was a clerk who was committed to conducting fair and free elections. Capitalizing on his character, the Election Commission wants to generate enthusiasm among the people for voting.
