New archakas (priests) will be appointed for the Ram temple being built in Ayodhya. Before the consecration of Ramlala in the temple, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has invited applications from interested persons. The last date for application is 31 October 2023. Selected persons will have to appear in the entrance examination. Then they will be given training for 6 months. Archak (priest) will be appointed after special training. Rs 2000 per month will be given during training.
Let us tell you that Ramlala is worshiped in the Ramanandiya tradition of Vaishnavism. In such a situation, the person applying for Archak should have received Gurukul education and should have taken initiation from the Ramanandiya tradition. After training he will be selected as a priest. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has issued a notification for the posts of priest.
It is noteworthy that the consecration of the idol of Lord Shri Ram is to take place in the Ram temple on January 22. It is believed that on January 22, 2024, PM Narendra Modi himself will participate in the inauguration program of the temple.
