The Priority Section under India's first Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) has been inaugurated recently. It has been opened for passenger service from 21 October 2023. More than 10000 passengers have enjoyed the ride on the first day of passenger service. NCRTC has put in place sophisticated security systems based on modern technologies for the safety and security of passengers and RRTS infrastructure as well as to detect and prevent any illegal activities. This security system is also equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI) equipped with the latest technologies.
There is continuous CCTV surveillance all around in all the 5 stations of Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai and Duhai Depot. Two-level surveillance has been ensured here. One at the station level and the other at the central level. Any suspicious behavior or wrongdoing anywhere in the entire system will be easily captured by these CCTV cameras.
Each Namo Bharat train has 36 cameras that will issue alerts about any unauthorized entry, unclaimed luggage, overcrowding etc. A dedicated security control room is monitoring the safety and security aspects of passengers round the clock and is in constant touch with all the security staff.
