Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif has returned to his country after a long gap of four years.  He was living in Britain for the last 4 years.  Wearing light blue kurta-pajama, maroon muffler and black coat, 73-year-old Nawaz Sharif took off from Dubai for Islamabad at 1.30 pm in 'Umeed-e-Pakistan' chartered plane.  The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo was met by his legal team upon his arrival.  After staying in Islamabad for about an hour, Nawaz Sharif will leave for Lahore to address a rally at Minar-e-Pakistan.

Speaking to journalists at Dubai Airport, Nawaz Sharif said that his party is capable of taking the cash-strapped country out of the current crisis.  Sharif said that today I am going back to Pakistan after 4 years.  When I was leaving Pakistan and going abroad, I did not feel happy but today I am happy.  He said that it would have been great if the situation in the country was better today than in 2017.  Nawaz Sharif said that I become very worried and disappointed after seeing the situation in the country.  The country which was supposed to move forward, is now going backward economically and in terms of unity.
