The address 'His Excellency' will no longer be used for the Governor of Bihar. In this regard, the Principal Secretary to the Governor has written a letter to all the key officials including the Chief Secretary of the state. It is written in it that instead of 'His Excellency' use the address 'Honorable' for the Governor.
In the letter taken by the Principal Secretary, it has been said that in English the address will be Hon'ble instead of His Excellency. With Hon, Mr. or Mrs. will be used before the name. Apart from this, His Excellency will be addressed only in special circumstances or in meetings with diplomats.
