ISRO intensifies preparations for Gaganyaan mission, 'Crew Escape System' will be tested this month

Encouraged by the success of Chandrayaan-3 mission and the successful launch of Aditya L-1, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has intensified preparations for the Gaganyaan mission. ISRO is planning to test the 'Crew Escape System', a system for evacuating astronauts from the spacecraft developed for testing, later this month. This test is part of India's ambitious plan to send human missions to space. Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC) Director S Unnikrishnan Nair said, “Preparations are going on. All parts of the vehicle system (for launch) have reached Sri Harikota. The work of connecting them is going on. We are ready to launch it at the end of October."
