India is hosting the G-20 summit as the chair. The G-20 summit will be held in New Delhi on September 9 and Delhi is being decorated for this. Security in the capital has also been stepped up. Many online services have been banned for this. However, some things are not restricted.
Special Commissioner of Police for Traffic SS Yadav said the traffic advisory issued by the police on August 25 had not been changed. Essential services like postal and medical services, patient tests (sample collection by PATH laboratories) will be allowed throughout Delhi. Commercial activities will not be allowed.
All online delivery services except medicines will be banned. He said that valid permissions given for essential services would be respected. As for the metro, the metro service will not be disrupted. However, traffic will remain closed at Moti Bagh, Bikaji Kama Place, Munirka, RK Puram, IIT and Sadar Bazar Cantonment Metro stations.
Supreme Court Metro station will remain completely closed::
In addition, the Supreme Court Metro Station will be completely closed, as it is the nearest metro station to the venue. Dhaula Kuan, Khan Market, Janpath, Supreme Court and Bikaji Kama Place have been placed in the list of sensitive metro stations. Gates may be closed for 10-15 minutes at stations due to VIP movement and security restrictions. Metro services at stations other than Pragati Maidan (Supreme Court) will not be affected.
