The Gauhati High Court rejected the decision taken by the NIT Shillong to dismiss 109 employees

The Gauhati High Court has rejected the decision taken by the NIT Shillong to dismiss 109 employees.  The NIT authorities had issued a new advertisement to deprive employees who had served for the past 20-25 years of their jobs.
 The 3rd and 4th class employees who were to be deprived of their jobs approached the court.  The new advertisement for the posts was published on June7 .  The court issued the ban in response to the employees who appealed against the NIT's actions.
 The Gauhati High Court issued the ban.  The court ordered the NIT authorities not to fill the posts without regularizing the jobs of the employees.  There are also allegations of politics over NIT vacancies for a long time.
