Assam to ban polygamy this year ,CM Himanta Biswa Sarma gave a big signal

The state government has received nearly 150 suggestions for a proposed bill to ban polygamy in Assam.  Only three of these have opposed it.  Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the final draft of the proposed law would now be started and completed within the next 45 days
 The Chief Minister wrote on X (Twitter), “Update on the proposed bill to ban polygamy- we have received a total of 149 suggestions in response to our public notice.  Of these, 146 suggestions are in favor of the bill, indicating strong public support.  However, three organizations have expressed their opposition to the bill.  We will now move to the next phase of the process, which is to prepare the final draft of the bill in the next 45 days, which will include the issue of 'love jihad'.  I hope in December we will be able to introduce this bill in the state assembly."
