Delhi-Pune Vistara Flight: A bomb was reported in a flight at Delhi airport after police disembarked all passengers safely and launched an investigation. According to news agency ANI, the call center run by GMR Group received a bomb threat call on the Delhi-Pune Vistara flight, which was scheduled to take off from Delhi airport this morning.
Soon after, the plane was evacuated by security agencies for proper inspection, an official said. However, no suspicious objects were found on the plane. The flight was scheduled to depart at 8:30 am. "Flight UK-971 from Delhi to Pune received a bomb threat at the GMR call center in Gurugram," a security agency official said.
The plane had more than 100 passengers and all passengers' luggage was unloaded. The passengers are currently in the terminal building and were given refreshments, the official said.
According to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), the aircraft’s schedule cannot even be fixed until the security agencies clear and proceed for the flight. The flight will leave for its destination (Pune) once it gets the final clearance from the security agencies.
