All the orbit maneuvers of Chandrayaan-3 around the moon have now been completed.  Chandrayaan-3 has reached the fifth orbit of the Moon.  It has an orbit of 153 km x 163 km.  No more orbit of the lunar rover will be changed.  The engine of the Chandrayaan was turned on for one minute at around 8.38 am on August 16. After which its orbit was changed.  Before that it was in orbit of 150 km x 177 km.
On August 5, Chandrayaan-3 reached its first orbit of the moon.  On the same day, Chandrayaan released the first images of the moon.  Since then, its orbit has been changed four times.  The first orbit was 164 x 18074 KM.  On 6 August 2023, the orbit was reduced to 170 x 4313 km.  In other words, Chandrayaan-3 was placed in the second orbit of the Moon.
On August 17, the propulsion and lander modules of Chandrayaan-3 will be separated.  On the same day, both modules will be in a 100 km x 100 km circular orbit around the Moon.  The lander module will be deorbited between 4.30 pm and 4 pm on August 18.  That is, its orbital height will be reduced.  The lander module of Chandrayaan-3 will be deorbited at 2.30 pm on August20.
On August 23, the lander will land near the moon's south pole.  If all goes well, the lander will land on the moon around 6:30 p.m.  The health of Chandrayaan-3 is being continuously monitored from the Mission Operations Complex (MOX) of ISRO's Center Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) in Bangalore.  Currently, all the instruments of Chandrayaan-3 are working properly.
