The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached the assets of former Railway Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav. Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family's assets worth Rs 6 crore and Rs 2 lakh have been attached. For the third time, the ED has reportedly attached the assets of Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family. The ED's action has once again caused a stir in Bihar politics.
The action taken by the ED includes several people connected to Lalu Prasad Yadav's family. Central investigating agency ED has attached several properties with an estimated value of around Rs 6 crore, Rs 2 lakh. These properties include several properties located in Ghaziabad, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh. Lalu Prasad Yadav is under investigation for corruption cases like giving jobs in exchange for land.
Lalu Prasad Yadav is on the radar of the CBI probe for allegedly taking land in exchange for a job in the railways. The ED is also investigating him in a money laundering case. The CBI has also filed a chargesheet in the case. Former MLAs Bhola Yadav and Hridayanand Chaudhary, who are close to Lalu Yadav, are also accused. Bhola Yadav, former OSD of RJD leader Lalu Yadav, was arrested by the CBI on July 27.
