England fast bowler Stuart Broad has announced his retirement from international cricket.  The fifth Test of the Ashes series between England and Australia at the Oval will be the last match of his career.  Broad announced his retirement after the third day of the fifth Test (July 29).
"Tomorrow or Monday will be my last cricket match," Broad, 37, told Sky Sports Cricket after the third day's play.  It's been a wonderful trip.  I was fortunate to play for Nottinghamshire and England.  I still love cricket as much as I used to.  It was an amazing series that I was a part of.  I always wanted to finish on top.  Being part of this series has been the most amazing and entertaining.”
Stuart Broad, who is set to finish his career with 167 Test matches, is only the second fast bowler in Test history to take 600 wickets after compatriot James Anderson.  Broad achieved the feat by dismissing Travis Head during the fourth Test of the current Ashes series.  Overall, he is the fifth bowler to take 600 or more wickets in Test cricket.
