Monsoon rains are becoming a disaster in most of the states across the country.  Heavy rains from plains to hilly areas are disrupting public life.  While reports of landslides are coming from the mountains, people are suffering from flooding in the plains.  The Yamuna river in Delhi is flowing above the danger mark due to continuous rains in the country's capital New Delhi and water released from the Hathni Kund barrage in Haryana.  The Yamuna crossed the danger mark at 5 pm today (Monday).  Rivers in Himachal Pradesh are also flowing above the danger mark.
In New Delhi, the Yamuna River has also reached above the danger mark.  The Yamuna was expected to cross the danger mark tomorrow, July 11, but it has reached above the danger mark in Delhi at 5 pm today (Monday).  People living near the Yamuna River are being evacuated due to the danger.  The water level of Yamuna was recorded at 205.40 meters at 5 pm.
