Monsoon is causing heavy rains across the country. Continuous rains have been a disaster for many states. The 40-year-old bridge connecting Banjar Aut bypass to Aut in Mandi has been washed away by the floods of Vyas river. Video of the bridge floating in the river has also surfaced. The video shows the bridge floating in the water within seconds.
According to the forecast of the Met Department, heavy rains will continue for two more days in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. These states are already suffering from rains. A section of Chandigarh-Manali National Highway 3 was washed away due to flooding in Vyas river in Kullu. Landslides have also been reported in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand. The forecast of the Met Department could add to the difficulties of the hill states. Currently, the administration in all three states is on high alert.
