The Assam government has announced an elevated corridor from Dighalipukhuri to Noonmati after the cabinet meeting held in Jorhat on December 15,2022.The construction work for the corridor is all set to start at the beginning of August this year.
“The 5.5 km elevated corridor will be constructed in a budget of Rs 689.98 crore and the initial planning work has been completed by July end,” a source in the Public Works Department (PWD), Roads, told that , all the formalities will be completed and the work will start at the beginning of August this year.
 According to the initial design of the elevated corridor, vehicles plying towards Noonmati will climb the corridor from the eastern end of the Dighalipukhuri.
 “The corridor will end near the FCI godown at Noonmati,” the source said.
