Opposition parties are attacking the Modi government over the Balasore train accident. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has now attacked the central government over the issue. "Even after more than 270 deaths, there is no accountability. The Modi government cannot escape taking responsibility for such a tragic accident. The prime minister should immediately take the resignation of the railway minister," he said.
Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has also lashed out at the Union government and the railway minister over the Balasore train accident. "More than 24 hours have passed since the horrific train accident. Shouldn't the people in top positions be held accountable on humanitarian and moral grounds? To the warnings and suggestions of experts, parliamentary committees, CAG reports," she said Who is responsible for ignoring? Who will be responsible for vacant posts in Railways and lack of funds in critical areas? Following the moral path of Lal Bahadur Shastri, Nitish Kumar, Madhav Rao Scindia, will the Railway Minister not resign Should I give it?"
