National desk:
Two days have passed since the train accident in Balasore, Odisha.  Relief and rescue work has been going on at the scene 24 hours a day for 2 days.  Two days later, all the bodies trapped in the train carriages have been recovered.  The accident has killed 275 people, while the number of injured is more than 1,100.  Hospitals are littered with unattended bodies.  The reality is that there is no space left in hospital morgues.  The school and cold storage have been converted into morgues in view of the number of bodies.
In fact, after the accident, relatives are going around hospitals and morgues in search of their loved ones.  Dozens of bodies remain unidentified.  The bodies are also kept at Bahana High School in Balasore.  The classrooms where students sit here are full of bodies.  The bodies that are being identified are being handed over to their relatives.  Photos of the bodies have also been released, which people are seeing to identify their relatives. The Odisha government had shifted 187 bodies from the district headquarters city of Balasore to Bhubaneswar due to lack of space in the morgues.  However, even here the lack of space is making the situation difficult for mortuary administration.  Of these, 110 bodies are kept at AIIMS Bhubaneswar.  The remaining bodies have been kept at Capital Hospital, Amari Hospital, Sam Hospital and others.
