Jitendra Awhad Resigned From NCP: Jitendra Awhad has resigned from the post of NCP General Secretary.  "All the NCP office bearers in Thane city with me have resigned from their posts," Awad said.  Awad has sent his resignation to Jayant Patil.
NCP leader Jitendra Awad resigned from the post of national general secretary.  He said all the NCP office bearers with him have resigned from their posts.  All have sent their resignations to Jayant Patil.  On Tuesday (May 2), Ajit Pawar had said he would not accept anyone's resignation from the party.  Despite this, several leaders, including Jitendra Awad, have resigned from the party.
Sharad Pawar has resigned as the NCP national president and there is uncertainty over the party's new president.  Pawar's nephew Ajit Pawar and his daughter Supriya Sule are in the running for the post of the new NCP president.  However, nothing is clear yet.  Because many leaders in the NCP claim that the new president will not be a member of the family.
