PT Usha Meets Wrestlers At Jantar-Mantar: Olympic Association of India (OAI) president PT Usha met wrestlers performing at Jantar-Mantar in Delhi on Wednesday (May 3). Earlier, the wrestlers on the dharna had expressed surprise that former track great Usha and her Athletes Commission (AC) chairperson Mary Com had left them at this difficult time.
Last week, PT Usha had asked the wrestlers to show discipline. PT Usha had said that wrestlers are tarnishing the image of the players. According to the information, PT Usha has appealed to the wrestlers to end the demonstration and consoled them to get justice. However, Mary Com has not commented on the matter.
PT Usha met the agitating wrestlers on Wednesday and assured them of getting justice as soon as possible. The AC has not yet contacted the wrestlers. However, on Tuesday (May 2), IOA Athletes Commission member and former national record holder shot putter and Asian champion Om Prakash Karhana supported the performing wrestlers. She said the athletes who are fighting for their rights should get justice.
