A network of 250 satellites has now been deployed in space to provide 5G internet service around the world. The network was laid by Elan Musk's company SpaceX. For the first time, satellites providing 5G internet services have been launched into Lower Earth Orbit.
These satellites are built by Sateliot company. It is named The GroundBreaker. These satellites weigh 10 kg. By the way, their official name is Satellite_0. 250 such spacecraft have been installed in low Earth orbit to connect directly to the tower on the ground. and provide better 5G internet service to the world.
The satellites were launched on April 15, 2023 from a Falcon-9 rocket. The launch was from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The company that makes these small satellites, Sateliot, is based in Barcelona. The company says it wants to power the Internet of Things (IoT) through these satellites.
"For the first time in history, we are connecting cellular terrestrial telecoms with satellite connectivity," Satellite said in a statement. Satellites will spark a new movement. Thanks to them, we will be able to fill the 85 per cent gap in the 5G network. Also, thanks to the internet, they will be able to make better use of moving facilities
