India-Japan's 'Veer Guardian-2023' exercise

In view of the ever-emerging threat from China, a joint exercise between the Air Force of India and Japan - 'Veer Guardian 2023' is going to happen.  Its purpose is to give a signal to China, the enemy of both the countries. 
The Veer Guardian maneuvers will be held from January 16 to January 26 at Hyakura Air Base and Iruma Air Base in Japan.  According to top sources, the purpose of this exercise is to send a clear message to China that Japan can provide air support to India from this region.  Whereas, if needed, India can also help Japan with full force in the sky from the Indian Pacific.
Four Sukhoi-30MKI, two C-17 aircraft will participate in this exercise from the Indian Air Force, while four F-2 and four F-15 fighter aircraft will participate from the Japanese side.
