Benedict XVI Death: Former Pope Benedict XVI at the age of 95

Former Catholic Pope Benedict XVI died in Vatican City on Saturday.  He breathed his last at the age of 95.  A Vatican Church spokesman said in a statement that it is with sadness that we have to inform that former Pope Benedict XVI passed away at 9:34 am this morning at the Mater Ecclesia Monastery in the Vatican.  On the death of Benedict XVI, Pope Francis of Vatican City said that he used to visit him often.
Benedict XVI had been ill for some time.  His health had declined due to old age.  Pope Francis on Wednesday appealed to general audiences at the Vatican to offer a special prayer for Benedict XVI.  Pope Francis had said that we pray to the Lord to keep his grace on the Church till the end.
