India-China Border Dispute: Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday. This conversation between the two leaders has taken place at a time when relations between India and China are extremely tense. Let us tell you that recently Chinese soldiers infiltrated Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh, after which they clashed with the Indian Army.
In a statement issued by the PMO, it was said, "In the context of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, in a telephonic conversation with the Russian President, PM Modi reiterated his call for further dialogue and diplomacy."

PM Modi briefed President Putin about India's current presidency of the G-20 and highlighted its key priorities. He also hoped that the two countries would work together during India's chairmanship of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation. They agreed to be in regular contact with each other.
