US: Eric Garcetti may become the next US ambassador to India, Biden administration demands

White House press secretary Carine Jean-Pierre told reporters on this issue, "We will continue to demand that Garcetti's name be stamped.  "The appointment of Garcetti as India's ambassador is a priority for the Biden administration, which was supported by two strong parties to serve as ambassador to India," he said.
In response to a question, Jean-Pierre said, “We have no information at this time.  But, yes, it remains a priority for us."  "As Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said, we have an important and fruitful partnership with India," he said.
