The country's first Analog Space Mission has been launched at Leh in Ladakh.  Several institutions are working together to accomplish this mission.  The first is ISRO.  Then the Human Spaceflight Center running the spacecraft project.  AAKA Space Studios, Ladakh University, IIT Bombay and Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council are also involved in the project.
The main purpose of this mission is to see how Indian astronauts will live on other planets.  How to colonize there.  How to survive.  What will the challenges be like there.  What would a human base look like on another planet far from Earth?
