Internationaldesk:

India is set to deliver the first set of BrahMos supersonic cruises to the Philippines on Friday, April 19.  India is completing its first major export order.  Defense officials said the Indian Air Force's C-17 Globemaster will fly from Indian Airport for the Philippines and its cruise missiles.  As part of a $374.96 million deal signed in January 2022, India has completed storage-building space in one of the Philippine islands.
This contract was the first major international export order for the Indian defense sector.  It is for the shore-based variant of an anti-ship cruise missile with a range of 290 kilometers.
India now has long-range missiles.  The missiles being delivered to the Philippines are the original smaller versions.  In March 2022, India signed a landmark agreement with the Philippines, paving the way for government-to-government deals on BrahMos and other defense cooperation.
