Guwahati will host the 2025 BWF World Junior Championships

India's image as one of the leading hubs of world badminton got a boost on Tuesday (April 30) when the Badminton World Federation (BWF) allocated the hosting rights for the '2025 BWF World Junior Championship' to Guwahati, Assam.
 The decision was taken during the BWF Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Chengdu, China on the occasion of the 'BWF Thomas and Uber Cup 2024'.
 The prestigious tournament, which India will host for the second time, will be held at the new state-of-the-art National Center of Excellence in Guwahati, which has also earned global acclaim for its facilities and stadium capacity.  Opening in August 2023.
 The National Center of Excellence in Guwahati has 14 badminton courts, an international standard gymnasium and a seating capacity of about 4,000 spectators.
