Amritpal Singh's increased difficulties, police life endangering case will also go

Jailed in Assam's Dibrugarh jail, Waris Punjab chief Amritpal Singh and his associates are set to face further difficulties.  A case of endangering police life will be filed against 12 associates, including Amritpal Singh.  Police have produced challans against the 12 in the court of Bikramjit Singh at Baba Bakala Sahib.  The accused will be booked under Sections 279 (reckless driving), 506 (threat to kill), 336 (endangering life) and 186 (obstruction of official duty).
The next hearing on the challan filed by the police against 12 accomplices, including Amritpal, is scheduled for May  The case was registered against Amritpal and his associates on March 18,  The challan filed by the police in the Baba Bakala Sahib court includes the names of Amritpal Singh, Papalpreet and Harjeet Singh.  They are all currently being held in Dibrugarh jail in Assam under NSA.
It may be recalled that on March 18, when the police of Khilchian police station tried to stop Amritpal and his associates during Khalsa Vahir, they tried to run over the policemen while driving away.  Several policemen escaped unharmed.  The challans filed by the police said that the addresses of Darshan Singh, Jagmohan Singh Jaggi, Sandhu Driver and Pamma Bajkhana were not complete and they would be investigated.  Police also cited the issuance of arrest warrants against Harjinder Singh and Harpreet Singh.
