Kamya Karthikeyan has become the youngest Indian to conquer the world's highest mountain peak, Mount Everest, from the Nepali side. She achieved this feat at the age of 16 years. Jamshedpur-based Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF) on Thursday. Kamya was the daughter of her father and Indian Navy Commander S.K. conquered the peak of Everest with Karthikeyan. The father and daughter reached the 8,849-metre peak of Everest on May 20 .Kamya is a Class XII student at Nausena Bal Vidyalaya in Mumbai. Kamya has been awarded the Prime Minister's National Child Power Award. PM Narendra Modi had said during his Mann Ki Baat program in February 2020 that Kamya Karthikeyan is an inspiration to all.
