Arunachal CM dedicates new hydro project to people of state

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Thursday dedicated the Sumbachu Small Hydropower Project (SHP) at Zemithang village, some 92 km from the district headquarters, to the people of the state.
The 2X1.5 MegaWatt power station has been built by state-owned Hydro Power Development Corporation of Arunachal Pradesh Limited (HPDCAPL).

Chief minister Khandu said this after inaugurating the 3 MW generation capacity Sumbachu Small Hydropower Project in Tawang district’s Zemithang village, 92 km from the district headquarters .Chief minister Khandu tweeted on thursday , "Stand-alone hydropower projects are best solution to power requirements for areas off the grid".
